Netcoins at Global China Connection Event

The Netcoins team attended a fantastic event on November 21 hosted by the Vancouver chapter of the Global China Connection (GCC), a nonprofit student organization from the University of British Columbia.

Netcoins CEO Michael Vogel spoke as a delegate at the event. "Bitcoin represents a huge opportunity in markets such as China. BTCChina is already the world's second largest Bitcoin exchange, and they've recently signed deals with major e-commerce retailers in China," said Vogel.

"The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin" - Documentary Film Premiere in Vancouver

November 3 marked the long awaited Vancouver premiere of documentary film, "The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin." The film debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York earlier in 2014, and Netcoins was excited to sponsor the free event for the hometown Vancouver crowd. Over 100 attendees came to watch the screening at the UBC Robson Square cinema in downtown Vancouver.

The evening also featured guest speakers Jesse Heaslip, CEO of, and Aly Dhalla, founder of startup accelerator TriCelelerate.
